广州美术学院工业设计学院成立于2010年9月，目前开设有工业设计、产品设计、智能交互设计、艺术设计学、染织艺术设计、服装与服饰设计、服装设计与工程七个本科专业（方向），其中，工业设计、产品设计和服装与服饰设计为国家级一流本科专业建设点。工业设计学院以国家战略和社会需求为导向，高度关注科技、产业与人文发展趋势，积极优化教学架构，促进专业间的交叉融合，建立了紧密的产学研合作人才培养机制。近年来，学院承担了包括国家社科基金艺术学项目、教育部人文社科项目、国家艺术基金项目、广东省自然科学基金、广东省社科规划项目等在内的多项高层次项目。学院师生在包括全国美展、红点奖、IF设计奖、IDEA奖、日本GOOD DESIGN奖等国内外知名设计大赛上获各类奖项三百余项，人才培养质量获得社会普遍好评。

The School of Innovation Design (SID) of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts was established in September 2010. Currently, SID offers seven undergraduate majors (directions), namely industrial design, product design, intelligent interaction design, art and design, dyeing and weaving art design, clothing and apparel design, and clothing design and engineering, among which industrial design, product design and clothing and apparel design are national first-class undergraduate major construction points. Taking the national strategy and social needs as the guide, SID pays great attention to the development trend of science and technology, industry and humanities, actively optimizes the teaching structure, promotes cross-integration among majors, and establishes the mechanism of close industry-academia-research cooperation for talent cultivation. In recent years, SID has undertaken a number of high-level projects, including Art Project of National Social Science Fund, Humanity and Social Science Youth Foundation of Ministry of Education, China National Arts Fund, Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and Guangdong Philosophy and Social Science Foundation Planning Project. The faculty and students have won more than 300 awards in prestigious design competitions at home and abroad, including the National Exhibition of Fine Arts, Red Dot Award, IF Design Award, IDEA Award and GOOD DESIGN Award of Japan, and the quality of talent training has been recognized by the society.
